About this activity
One of the best ways to take this course is, full time, like a mini sabbatical. Learn the important basics such as the milling of rough lumber using core major power machines - the Jointer, Planer and Table saw. After this course you will have gained a better understanding of the material and how it challenges the maker. Topics covered are as follows:
1: Introduction to lumber classification, grain and moisture related movement 2: Shop and machine safety, 3: Power tool milling, 4: Basic joinery methods using a hybrid approach combining both power and hand tools. 5: Assembly methods and strategy. Materials supplied.
