About this activity

An exciting new class to try this Fall session! Learn Indigenous Beading with Gigi! This class will:
  • Introduce you to the trading of different beads from cultures and the history of seed beads, shell beads, and glass beads.
  • Explain the concept of the two needle beading technique and why it is more accurate to bead with two sets of threaded needles versus one.
  • Make a beaded floral rosette and the class will be able to choose which colour combinations they want and a choice of seed or glass beads.
  • You will also bead orange shirt pins and a keychain.
  • Learn the importance of Residential school awareness and hear first hand experiences.
